In general, if the wood is free of pesticides, it can be used for agriculture in the form of mulch. If it cannot be used as mulch, it will need to be incinerated. There are companies that provide the service of collecting green waste.

The tires at the dump were posing a danger to our environment and the health of residents in the neighborhood. To provide a solution, the tires will be processed by local businesses to create additional raw materials in the form of oil. The generated oil can be sold on the local market, which ensures that less money goes abroad and continues to circulate in our economy.

Cardboard is an alternative to plastic use, as it can be easily processed. Ecotech Freezone and ICR Services export cardboard for recycling, but there is also the option of Johnson's Enterprises where the cardboard is burned.
Car batteries contain lead and acid, both of which are extremely hazardous to human health and the environment. Recycling batteries can recover the valuable lead and other materials that can be sold and exported to international companies.
Reusing motor, hydraulic, and gear oil is one of the most common ways of recycling it. The filtered oil is blended with other lubricants to create a new product that meets industry standards. The recycled oil can be used in vehicles, industrial machinery, boat engines, and more.
The drain system is not designed to handle cooking oil, take it for recycling.

Bulk waste, such as mattresses, fabric, cabinet, and any other kind of waste... has a cost for processing. Be aware that a large part of the waste that is not separated will be processed and placed in landfills in Sero Teishi. Separate your waste to save on processing costs. The money you receive in exchange for your metal or glass waste can be used to pay for your bulk waste.

Separate your waste to save on processing costs
Based on a scientific data (sources: eXXpedition/Impact Blue Foundation, 2019/2021), Aruba has 2.52 pieces of litter per m2. This is higher than all the other islands put together (Antigua = 0.54/m2, Bonaire = 0.71/m2, San Blas islands Panama = 0.47, TOTAL other islands = 1.72/m2) that were included in the study. Top litter items in Aruba (including urban areas): Cigarettes, Hard Plastic Fragments, Paper, Plastic Food Wrapper (Multilayer), Foam or Plastic Cups/Lids.
By switching to reusable packaging, for example, we can lower the amount of waste we produce. By separating our waste by type, we can also increase the recycling of some products, and we can also increase export of others. By these efforts to reorganize how our waste is collected and processed, and by changing how we as citizens, businesses and government use products, we can also strengthen our local economy with new jobs and more efficient use of all our resources, including waste!
The correct number is 30 million annually. Some believed it could have been as high as 60 million annually. With data extrapolation, the proportion used among locals was ~65% and ~35% among cruise and overnight tourists.
26.3% of our total waste generation is plastic. That is equal to the weight of about 3,577 elephants. Less than 1% (or the weight of 35.8 elephants) is recycled annually (source: Impact Blue, 2020).
